INCREDIBLE SUPER HIGH QUALITY, COMFORTABLE, SAFE, AND SWIFT WORLD VOYAGER

Manitou, 2008 Oyster 56 Hull #61, Awaits those that appreciate the very best of the best. She is truly turn-key ready to enjoy.

England has conquered and ruled the seven seas now for centuries. If through the greatest of explorations, think the Endurance and Shackleton; to sea battles of the magnitude that changed our world as we know it today.

Its successes depended on ship building to be its finest.

Shipbuilding has deep roots in the wild seas surrounding this Island nation. Plus, one can’t forget the night of the 1979 Fastnet Race. Something of this caliber teaches those shipwrights what the offshore requirements that are really needed in building a true world voyaging sailing yacht that will survive almost anything.

After some hundreds of years of successful yacht building with the legendary Camper & Nicholson’s, which started in 1782, it gave way to Oyster Yachts, bringing to them the very talent, dedication and skill to create masterpieces that grace every harbor near and afar.

Oyster Yachts was born, to offer those connoisseurs that can recognize and afford quality, something extremely unique, as individual as they themselves are.

The word Oyster Yacht is synonymous to jewels as Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolex and Christoff champagne. Without any doubt; quality and attention to detail, all with a perfect blend of fit/form/and function, has created what a beautiful sea going yacht should be. If one has the clarity and desire to venture and explore the oceans of the world; all in total comfort, and safety, and while traveling swiftly; an Oyster Yacht is as good as its ever going to get.

Our special offering is an almost perfect, almost new, extremely professionally cared for and loved, turnkey 2008 Oyster 56, hull number 61, named Manitou. Manitou is the sort after "g5" deck saloon version, totally refined and improved all with gorgeous clean lines. She currently sits near Sausalito, California ready to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge to anywhere on a short notice. This Listing Broker just spent several days aboard her, putting her through her paces, as only the San Francisco Bay can offer and throw at you.

Manitou offers a unique blend of performance, comfort, accommodations and features to those aboard, everything that is ever needed and desired is aboard. Nothing is compromised on her, for she is totally a complete package. She shows her young age ever so gracefully, that a love affair with her will develop instantly when you lay your eyes on her, for it will be love at first sight.

Oyster’s Designer Rob Humphreys mission for the Oyster 56 was to design a world class cruising yacht without compromise. He succeeded. Her deck is all purpose and easy to navigate around, her ergonomic cockpit is safe, comfortable at sea and at anchor, her interior rivals a seaside cottage mansion.

Her cockpit is one of the focal points of the design, offering more seating space and width forward of the helm station, which makes relaxing and entertaining a true pleasure, all while maintaining all the essential qualities of a serious seagoing yacht.

The helm station at the aft end has the electric winches clustered around that area, so sail handling is undertaken effortlessly, making single-hand sailing a breeze.

Her generous sail plan is making best use of the yacht’s stability, which derives from both the high form stability of her hull lines and a low center of gravity bulb keel.

Manitou is a true cutter triple spreader rig which translates to going to sea. With her "push button" Reckman hydraulic furling jib and in mast main, and with a manual staysail furler all controlled by big powerful electric cockpit winches which are placed near the helm, this is a single-handers sailing dream come through. She’s as easy to sailing as it would be to sail a 30 footer. Visibility from the helm, while sailing or motoring is thoroughly thought out. With her powerful bow thruster, responsive helm and 160hp Yanmar with a Gori three blade folding prop, any docking situation will be stress free. Equipment aboard her includes a 10.5KW diesel generator, air conditioning throughout, watermaker, electric winches, bow thruster, washing machine, proper ground tackle and over sized windlass, Simpson davits and full electronics and communications, makes for a wonderful complete experience aboard.

Manitou’s interior is HUGE, filled with natural light because of her design, windows, ports AND a beautiful American light oak interior, all in perfect condition. Ventilation throughout, with many hatches, opening port and yes, large forward opening windows, never makes her interior feel stuffy. She carries her beam well forward and aft, resulting is a yacht which feels much bigger, for she takes advantage of a 16’3” beam. She offers a massive and extremely comfortable en-suite owner’s stateroom aft with an additional three guest cabins and two full sized bathrooms. Her galley is a true Gourmet Chef's kitchen come true with storage and plenty of counter tops, a huge stainless refrigerator and separate deep freezer. Machinery access is what one would expect in a yacht of this size and caliber.

One can only say good things about an Oyster 56, and definitely this one, after inspecting Manitou will only leave with you phrase and delight for her. Manitou will not disappoint in any which way. If you’re looking for a high caliber voyaging yacht second to none, that matches the unique character and style that you are, it then would be a perfect blend, sort of a marriage made in heaven. Don’t wait, for your ship has come it. She is the only Oyster 56 available on the West Coast of North America, for the cruising grounds of the South Pacific head west, Mexico south and Alaska north awaits, one just needs to enter the Pacific Ocean going under the Golden Gate Bridge. One can easily leave all of today's problems easily behind them.....for life is short and very unpredictable.
