The Blue Wave 2800 Pure Hybrid is an ideal boat to divide time between near coastal and offshore waters. The deck layout on this model lends itself to sight casting from forward and aft elevated casting decks. This vantage point is useful both in the quiet water as well as offshore. An elevated toe-kick riser forward combined with Blue Wave's “Wave Grip” non-skid pattern assures solid footing on a rocking boat.

The Pure Hybrid is ideally suited for a trolling motor for use inshore and offshore whether to stalk along quietly or hold your position over structure or on a school of fish.

The sunken cockpit amidships around the console provides security for rougher days in the blue water. This boat handles a load of fish, bait, and gear like you might expect from a much larger offshore boat. Two forward locking storage compartments, each built to store five rods and a pile of gear wrap around a trio of insulated fish/storage holds below deck.
 

A 200-quart hold under the raised deck meets a 36-quart drink box in the step, which leads down to a massive 500-quart compartment on the lower deck.

The cockpit aft features a pair of 27-gallon live wells in opposite corners at the transom to fortify the 50 gallon well under the helm seating.

This boat offers fuel mileage that is hard to match for a boat her size. Paired with a single Suzuki DF350, the Pure Hybrid delivers 4 MPG at 29 MPH cruising. At 40, 50, and 57 (top speed) MPH this combo provided 3.4, 2.63, and 2.01 MPG respectively.

The combination of this kind of performance and economy, a soft stable ride, paired with a perfectly balanced deck layout for multi-use anglers and smart looks, assures this boat a place at the front of the pack in the large bay hybrid class.
 

The transom is Kevlar reinforced to accommodate up to 600hp in a single or twin set-up.  Truly, no species is safe.
